Join botanical artist Nay Bellamy for a relaxed and creative morning of painting in the flower fields at Lower Norton.
Set amongst rows of seasonal blooms, this intimate workshop invites you to slow down and spend a few hours surrounded by colour, scent and nature. You’ll begin by wandering the fields and selecting ten stems from the fields to work from, before settling in to paint within the landscape that inspired them.
Nay will guide you through her process for creating expressive floral paintings, from observing the natural movement of each stem to mixing colour with confidence and building a balanced composition on the page. You’ll be encouraged to capture the character of your chosen flowers while exploring your own style and creative voice.
This workshop is suitable for all levels. Whether you’re completely new to painting or looking to reconnect with your creativity, the focus is on experimentation, enjoyment and the simple pleasure of working with flowers.
All materials will be provided and you’ll leave with your own finished floral painting to take home.
Tea, coffee and a selection of cakes will be served during the session.
